What we do

The Border Rivers-Gwydir CMA exists to help landholders, farmers and the broader community sustainably manage natural resources in the catchment. The main natural resource areas we cover are:

• vegetation and biodiversity management
• salinity prevention and management
• rivers and wetlands management
• soils and land management

Supporting You

Our role is to engage regional communities in the key natural resource management issues facing their catchments. We are the primary vehicle for the delivery of incentive programs funded by both the State and Commonwealth Governments to acheive restoration and improvements in natural resources.

We are committed to meeting the needs of landholders, community members and Landcare. We encourage and assist the community to develop local solutions and projects. Education and training opportunities are also provided for every member of the community in our catchment.

We will help you by providing:

• funding to assist you with your projects
• training in Farm Management Systems
• a source of expert advice and information
• education and training for young and old
